The 2026 week ran June 29 to July 3 and has finished; the 2027 week is expected in late June, though no dates are posted. A day camp for ages 14 to 18 at the Floyd Event Center, running 9am to 3pm with evening activities, covering fiddle, clawhammer banjo, guitar, mandolin, singing and dance for all skill levels, from students just starting out to those going deeper. The 2026 rate was $400 with 10% off for siblings, including a t-shirt, snacks and learning materials; scholarships cover half the fee, or all of it where the need is there. Campers bring their own instrument or the school will provide one on request. At least ten students are needed for the week to run. Cabins, lodge rooms, RV sites and campsites can be booked at the Floyd EcoVillage.
