The 7th annual gathering is tentatively set for March 18-21, 2027 at the Floyd Event Center on the Floyd EcoVillage, 75 acres a few miles from the Blue Ridge Parkway. Four days of intermediate and advanced classes in fiddle, banjo, mandolin, guitar, bass and singing, with workshops led by visiting regional musicians, evening concerts, square dancing and jamming. Registration runs through the school's student portal and no tuition figure is published. An optional meal plan from the Floyd Country Store cafe covers Thursday supper through Sunday lunch, and single meals are sold too. Lodging is booked separately, whether that is a bermed lodge room, wilderness cabin, RV site or campsite at the EcoVillage, Hotel Floyd from $85 a night, or Pine Tavern Lodge. Run jointly by the Handmade Music School and the Floyd Country Store, with Share the Music scholarships available.
